If you are fan of Peanuts Cartoons or the characters Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus or Lucy, then this is a post you don’t want to miss! Horizon Strategies would like to recognize Jason Moeller who works as a Historian for the Awards and Decorations Branch at Fort Knox, KY. We are proud to recognize Jason’s outstanding work honoring the service Mr. Charles Schulz, the creator of Peanuts Cartoons!
This story begins at the request of Mrs. Schulz for a review of the late Mr. Charles Schulz entitlement to the Army of Occupation Medal with Germany Clasp. This review was taken on by Jason, as he examined documents provided by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and delved into Mr. Charles Schulz’s World War II unit assignment.
Jason went above and beyond as he meticulously verified Mr. Schulz’s complete awards entitlement, ensuring accuracy, and honoring a legendary creator and servicemember. Upon completing his research, Jason was asked to provide background information for The Adjutant General of the Army’s Facebook page. His insights shed light on the historical context and significance of Mr. Schulz’s service and bridged the past with the present.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family—his wife, three boys, and two girls. His interests span sports, reading, travel, and genealogy. Thank you, Jason, we are grateful for your dedication and hard work!
