Jean leads the Accounting Department. She manages day-to-day accounting activities, forecasting, financial analysis, and auditing compliance. Her responsibilities include identifying, developing, implementing long-range strategic accounting goals and policy development and enforcement.

WHY DID YOU JOIN HORIZON STRATEGIES?
I heard that Horizon Strategies is a company with huge growth potential and was planning to build an in-house accounting department. My area of expertise will enable me to assist with the successful transition and development of the new department. I was highly impressed with the growth of Horizon and wanted to join the team to contribute to their rapid growth. This opportunity perfectly aligns with my interest and career goal and I can see myself here long term.
WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE JOINING HORIZON STRATEGIES?
I have been working in the Accounting field for over 12 years with 11 years concentrated on government contracting. I most recently set up and implemented the accounting system for a start-up government contracting company from the ground up along with the implementation of an electronic timesheet system. I have expertise in all roles of the accounting department ranging from day-to-day activities to high level accounting, forecasting, financial analysis work, and have collaborated with the external auditors. I pride myself on staying on the schedule while still maintaining the quality of the work.
