Peterson Space Force Base, CO (March 20, 2023) – Rebecca Morelock was applauded by our Department of Defense partners on the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) management team at Peterson Space Force Base (SFB) for her exceptional work as a Veterans Affairs Benefits Advisor. Rebecca received numerous comments from transitioning servicemembers that she was the “best instructor of the entire TAP week”. She has been recognized as an energetic teammate with an infectious smile. Rebecca’s passion is building connections within the community to ease the stresses that servicemembers face as they are leaving the military.
Rebecca started with Horizon Strategies in August 2022 at Fort Carson and was quickly promoted to the Site Lead position at Peterson SFB in December. She has a passion for helping others and building relationships to support those in her and surrounding communities. Horizon Strategies is proud of the hard work and dedication that Rebecca has exuded at Peterson Space Force Base!
In close partnership with the Veteran’s Administration (VA) and the CALIBRE Systems team, Horizon Strategies provides vital TAP sustainment support for transitioning service members across 14 military installations in the Mid-West Region. Advisors on this program deliver the mandatory, full-day VA Benefits and Services briefings to 100% of eligible transitioning service members and, on a space available basis, to dependents, caregivers, survivors, and veterans. The scope of services includes in-person, one-on-one and classroom briefings and on-going briefer training and evaluation. All VA TAP-supported events have a common goal: to ensure service members are informed on, and connected to, the VA benefits that apply to their specific situation.
